A-Z of Roses, Simon White, of Peter Beales' Roses.
We are lucky enough to have Simon White, customer services manager at Peter Beales’ Roses, coming to “The Priory” to give a talk and slide-show on the A-Z of roses.
Simon will also demonstrate the correct and incorrect way to plant roses,-bare root and pot grown and how to grow roses in pots. There will also be a demonstration on pruning roses, and on propagating from cuttings and budding. Other topics covered will include how to prevent disease, and keep roses healthy (even in Devon). Simon will also explain how to overcome the problems of rose replant disease.
There will also be a question and answer session.
This is a wonderful and rare opportunity to share in the enthusiasm of a real expert in the world of roses. Peter Beales’ are my chosen supplier of historic roses for the Priory gardens.
The day will run from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and will include lunch and refreshments. You will also be able to look around The Priory gardens.
